Disneyland Announces Dates for Lunar New Year and Food and Wine Festivals in 2022

Two seasonal events suspended by the coronavirus shutdown of Disney California Adventure will return in 2022 with a pair of festival lineups featuring food, entertainment and Disney Characters in party attire.

Disney California Adventure will hold its Lunar New Year event from January 21 to February 13 and the Food & Wine Festival from March 4 to April 26.

DCA’s Lunar New Year event celebrates Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures and traditions with multicultural performances and dishes.

The Year of the Tiger will bring Tigger to DCA for the Lunar New Year festivities with some of his other Winnie the Pooh pals.

Raya from Disney’s 2021 animated film “Raya and the Last Dragon” will also make appearances at DCA’s Redwood Creek Challenge Trail area.

Mickey and Minnie will return in their seasonal attire with Mulan and Mushu in “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession.”

The 2021 Lunar New Year event has been put on hold by the 412-day pandemic closure of DCA and Disneyland.

The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will feature local, celebrity and Disney chefs offering free weekend cooking demonstrations and ticketed events throughout the event.

The DCA Food & Wine Festival was cut short in March 2020 by the pandemic closure of Anaheim’s theme parks and replaced by the A Touch of Disney Food Festival in March 2021.

Sip and Savor passes will be available for both Lunar New Year and Food & Wine Festival, allowing visitors to purchase a prepaid card with multiple tabs valid for individual items at food and drink stalls throughout the events.

Unused Food & Wine Festival 2020 Sip and Savor Cards cut short by the coronavirus closure of Disneyland and DCA cannot be used during Lunar New Year and Food & Wine Festival. Previously purchased Sip and Savor cards from 2020 can be used during the ongoing Festival of the Holidays event at DCA.

Both 2022 events will feature live entertainment on festival stages throughout the park.
