Here are 7 cut-price European music festivals for 2022 – including the Killers, Nick Cave and Kasabian for under £ 70
As travel restrictions resulting from the global pandemic continue to ease, thoughts turn to next summer and a more normal holiday season.
Many music festivals have also started announcing their 2022 lineup, including Scotland’s TRNSMT which will host lineup including Paolo Nutini, The Strokes, Lewis Capaldi and Wolf Alice at Glasgow Green from July 8-10.
Meanwhile, Glastonbury will return next year with Billy Eilish recently revealed as the first headliner.
But with the latter already full and the former costing a minimum of £ 170 (plus the inevitable booking fee) for the weekend, you need to be well organized and have deep pockets to join the crowds.
As an alternative, there are many lesser-known festivals (in the UK anyway) across the continent that offer good value for money in music – and if you’re able to catch cheap flights, you can combine seeing some of the world’s greatest artists with vacations in a beautiful European destination, from gorgeous beaches to cosmopolitan capitals.
As always, before booking you should check the travel restrictions in force in the country you intend to travel to on the UK government website.
